Jorg Schleicher Joins StarNews Mobile as Head of Product!

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Jörg Schleicher to the StarNews Mobile team as our new Head of Product. With Jörg’s extensive experience and expertise in product management, we are poised to take StarNews Mobile to new levels. In his role, Jörg will lead a team of talented product managers, define requirements for our upcoming product, and contribute to the development of our technology to meet our ambitious growth targets. 

Jörg’s journey began in 1999 when he arrived in the United States on a work visa, eager to make a lasting impact in the tech industry. During his remarkable 14-year tenure at PayPal, he played a key role in driving the company’s growth and achievements. Notably, Jörg’s visionary approach expanded the potential market size by redesigning PayPal’s system to effectively serve new market segments, particularly large merchants and the travel industry. He also held the esteemed position of Head of Mobile Payment Products, overseeing the development of PayPal’s mobile payment solutions.

With over two decades of experience in product management, Jörg is excited to build upon StarNews Mobile’s existing foundation and propel our company forward through innovation and data-driven strategies. When asked about his decision to join StarNews Mobile, Jörg expressed deep admiration for our core product and strategic thinking, acknowledging that we are already on a successful path with a strong proof of concept.

Jörg also shares a personal connection to Africa, particularly Cameroon, after his volunteering experience in Bameka. This connection further fuels his drive to contribute to the growth and success of StarNews Mobile.

Our CEO, Guy Kamgaing, is confident that Jörg’s expertise will play a pivotal role in developing the most innovative next-generation version of StarNews Mobile and says that they are exploring ways to incorporate AI technology, new avenues for monetization, and alternative payment methods.
